Safety

Your safety is Toyota’s top priority. That’s why the 2020 Tacoma provides a number of standard and available safety options. From body design to smart technology, you can be sure that your vehicle is proactively guiding the safety of you and your passengers on the road. The Tacoma is equipped with 8 airbags throughout the vehicle: driver and front passenger, front side-mounted airbags, driver and passenger knee airbags, and side airbags activated if vehicle rolling is detected. Traction control is also included to manage wheel spin on uneven, slippery or roll-resistant surfaces.

Blind spot detection with rear cross traffic alert is an available option. With this safety feature, you’ll be alerted if something in your blind spot is moving or is crossing behind you. This feature is beneficial for lane changing or turning.

Warranty Coverage

The 2020 Tacoma is backed by Toyota’s Comprehensive Warranty and 3 year/Unlimited Roadside Assistance. Basic Complete Vehicle Warranty is 3 years or 60,000 km. This also includes a 5 year/100,000 km powertrain warranty. With coverage like this, you can feel confident out on the road.

If you’re looking for additional warranty coverage, Extra Care Protection (ECP) is available. ECP covers you for unexpected vehicle issues, like mechanical protection for up to 7 years. ECP also covers extra roadside assistance, including Tire Road Hazard Warranty. To learn more about supplementary coverage, click here.
