Otherwise, when a recall occurs, Toyota will notify you directly and provide instructions to take the steps required to resolve the issue. Here is a brief overview of what the process looks like.
If your vehicle is recalled, you’ll receive a safety recall notice in the mail. In the notice, you will be informed of which part or component is defective and needs to be replaced, as well as any risks involved with the defective component. You will also be notified what to do next, and most importantly that YOU WILL NOT BE CHARGED FOR THE REPAIR.
The recall notice you receive in the mail with telling you where to take your vehicle for the recalled component to be replaced, most likely the Toyota Authorized Dealership that you purchased your vehicle from, or regularly have your vehicle serviced.
