WHAT IS COVERED BY TOYOTA'S MANUFACTURER WARRANTY?

The warranty covers the cost of replacement parts under certain conditions, based on when the parts were installed, and by whom.

What Is Covered?


  • Replacement parts, installed by a Toyota Authorized Dealer DURING the Basic Vehicle Warranty Period, PARTS and LABOUR are paid for by Toyota for 90 days or the balance of the Basic vehicle warranty period, whichever is greater.
  • Replacement parts, installed by a Toyota Authorized Dealer AFTER the Basic Vehicle Warranty Period, PARTS and LABOUR are paid for by Toyota for 12 months or 20,000km.
  • Replacement parts, NOT installed by a Toyota Authorized Dealer, DURING or AFTER the Basic Vehicle Warranty Period, ONLY PARTS are paid for by Toyota for 12 months for unlimited km.


What Is NOT Covered?


  • Parts replaced under battery, extended retail muffler, or shock absorber warranties,
  • Parts requiring replacement due to discolouration, fading, deformation, deterioration, and normal noise or wear.
  • Parts requiring replacement after 6 months, are considered normal wear on the following items and not covered under warranty:
  • Filters
  • Fuses
  • Wiper Blades and Inserts
  • Bulbs (Except Headlamps)

Replacement Batteries


Toyota offers a complete line of high quality, maintenance free replacement batteries for Toyota vehicles. All Toyota batteries installed by a Toyota Authorized Dealership are covered under warranty, with all parts and labor being covered for 24 month. Additional warranty coverage is available under certain conditions depending on the type of battery and who installed it. See below for specifics.

What Is Covered?



For Premium Batteries Installed By Authorized Toyota Dealership:

  • 1-24 Months – 100% replacement (including parts, labour and sublets)
  • 25-36 Months – 50% replacement cost, parts only (no labour or sublets)


Installed by Other Dealership:

  • 1-24 Months – 100% replacement (including parts, labour and sublets)
  • 25-36 Months – 50% replacement cost, parts only (no labour or sublets

What Is NOT Covered?


  • Batteries that have been dropped, opened, cracked, frozen, contaminated or otherwise damaged.
  • Battery failures caused by the use of incorrect electrolyte.
  • Batteries that have been recharged.
